الحلقة ١ من كحلة وحمرة: الأيلاينر المناسب لشكل العين | Kehle W Homra Ep1: The perfect Eye Liner

Hi! Welcome to the first episode of Kehle w Homra (Eyeliner and Lipstick).

Today we are going to talk about different types of eyeliners and make-up styles for different eye shapes.

I am also going to tell you a little bit about the history of eyeliner.

Eyeliner became popular in Ancient Egypt.

Or rather, the Ancient Egyptians started using it.

They believed eyeliner would protect them against the evil eye.

Cleopatra, known for lining her eye with long, black eyeliner, was convinced that it would help keep the evil eye at bay.

In any case, problems are unavoidable.

Yaane (For example), sometimes eyeliner isn’t black enough.

Two or three hours after application, it can wear off or looks navy blue.

Sometimes, we don’t know what applicator brush to use to create a specific look.

Another problem is eyeliner can smudge.

Yaane (For example), an hour after application, it smears into, say, an extra black line above the eye.

I then bump into someone and say, “Hello love.

How are you?” “Hi.

There is something on your eye…” I then look in the mirror and realize I have embarrassed myself… We can avoid such incidents if we know how to correctly choose the type of eyeliner to use, like waterproof formula that doesn’t smear.

These are the general problems I face, and I am sure the rest of you do too.

Now we are going to look at four different styles of eyeliner for four different eye shapes: almond, round, small and hooded.

Yalla! (Let’s go!) So, the first eye shape we are going to talk about is the almond shape, is the almond shape, that resembles the form of an almond.

It is known that eyeliner needs to be thinly applied to the contour of this shape, because the form is already perfect and all make-up styles suit it.

For this look, I am going to use Master Ink (from Maybelline®).

I don’t know, I love this eyeliner because the applicator brush is very thin and easy to use.

We begin by drawing a line from here to here (as indicated).

We work with the shape of the eye, extending the bottom line upwards.

Okay, I will begin.

I shouldn’t be speaking… We draw a straight line from the top downwards, in the shape of a triangle, and fill it in.

Next we draw a thin line from the triangle to the inside of the eye.

Okay, I have a lot of eyelashes so I like to use a mascara with a thick brush, like Leather Black (from Maybelline®).

In order to emphasize the beauty of the eyelashes so that they stand out, we need to use a volumizing mascara.

Look how thick the brush is.

It helps protruding eyelashes extend even further.

And we’re done! This is the final look.

Okay, the shape of the second eye we will talk about is round.

I am going to use Eye Studio Gel Liner by Maybelline®.

What’s nice about this product is, firstly, that it is a gel.

Makeup artists really like gel because they feel like they are painting, that they are artists… It gives off a really smoky look and lasts long, for 24 hours.

Plus, the black colour is very bold, so it looks nice when photographed.

We will begin with a very thin line from here (the inside of the eye) and will gradually thicken it as we move outward, in order to lengthen the eye.

Meaning, we will draw an extended line.

I’m going begin with the long outer line.

Then, I close my eye… So like I said, you extend the line like this, not upward, in order to widen the eye.

Next, I am going to use Colossal Smoky Mascara (by Maybelline®).

This mascara is especially made for round eyes.

It has kohl in it, so it is very pigmented and lasts for a long time and the finishing is matte.

This is the look for the round eye.

Now we are going to talk about the small eye.

The strategy for the small eye is the same as that of the rounded eye.

You apply the same style of eyeliner.

The only difference is that the rounded eye is larger than the small one.

Our goal is to make the eye look bigger.

I am going to use an Arab Kohl eyeliner pencil, Colossal Kajal (from Maybelline®), and to draw another line underneath the eye.

I will not draw it to the end, but to here, at the inner downward curve.

It is as if I am drawing a second eye to make it appear bigger.

I suggest that you apply a light colour on the inner lid or nothing at all, in order to make the eye-span appear large.

We begin by drawing a line.

We will not keep the line so bold.

We smudge the line with this small sponge… and we drop the pencil.

For small eyes, we use Lash Sensational Mascara (from Maybelline®).

This mascara is especially made for small eyes.

If you look at the brush, it is curved.

It grabs the lash from the inside and spreads it out so that the eye looks very large and open.

What is nice about this eyeliner is that it lasts.

We use it to enlarge the eye and apply it from below, an area that is very prone to smudging.

But it lasts for 12 hours a day, which is perfect.

I am sure you realize the difference.

This eye is very big while this eye is still rather small.

So… We have arrived to the final eye shape, the hooded eye.

What is the hooded eye shape? It is when there is no space between the eyelid and this piece of skin, so the eye slopes slightly downwards like this.

Which makes it difficult to apply normal eyeliner to such an eye shape.

There is a specific way to do it and I am going to teach it to you.

The eyeliner we will use is Master Precise Eyeliner (from Maybelline®), which is great because the tip never dries out.

As you can see, it is really thin and truly precise.

You really need to be precise when applying eyeliner on a hooded eye, which is why this applicator is perfect.

So, pay close attention.

So, concentrate.

Firstly, we draw a normal upward line.

Next step, we draw a horizontal line at the top end of the one just completed.

a straight line We then draw a straight line downward and fill it in.

Just like usual, we trace a thin line from the inner eye to extend the shape.

And now we have the perfect eyeliner for the hooded eye.

I will use the Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara (from Maybelline®).

This mascara pushes the eye lashes upwards.

You don’t have to use false eyelashes because it extends the lashes up from the root to the tips.

And.

We're.

Done! That's it.

I hope you liked today’s episode.

I had a great time! If you have any suggestions, questions, make-up look you’d like me to demonstrate in the next episode, feel free to write a comment in the comment section below.

I will make sure to read everything.

In the next episode we will start a competition.

We will ask a question.

Whoever answers correctly will win something beautiful and fun from Maybelline®.
